When the storms of life come — and they will — the question is never if you will be tested, but where you will stand when the winds rise.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians: "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." (Ephesians 6:11, NIV) Notice he doesn't say avoid the battle. He says stand.
Standing firm is not passive. It is an active posture of faith — rooted in Scripture, sustained by prayer, and strengthened by community.
Three anchors for the storm
Know the Word. The enemy's first move is always confusion. When you know what God has said, you cannot be easily shaken by what the world says.
Pray without ceasing. Prayer is not a last resort — it is your lifeline. Bring every fear, every doubt, every unanswered question to the One who holds the answers.
Stay connected. Isolation is the enemy's playground. Stay plugged into a community of believers who will speak truth over you when your own voice grows faint.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." — Psalm 46:1
Whatever storm you are walking through today, you are not walking alone. Stand firm. He is with you.
